As someone who has lived in 6 states and has moved 11 times, I know how stressful and exciting it can be contemplating the move to a new place.  And I also know that having some idea of what you are getting into, and at least just an idea of what life is like, can definitely ease the transition.

 

Maybe you are a new UF student, or a physician new to Shands, or a new medical resident at the University of Florida – whatever brings you to Gainesville FL, you must have questions — the top one being — what is it like living in Gainesville FL?

 

Personally speaking, I love living in Gainesville FL.  Gainesville is a small city anchored by one of the top universities in the country – the University of Florida.

 

Life in Gainesville FL is a charming combination of small-town friendliness coupled with bigger-city cultural amenities.  There are plenty of things to do in Gainesville FL and surrounding areas.
